Herb Uses and Medicinal Properties
Blackberry Leaf has been used to treat diarrhea and sore throat with good effect. The leaf was often chewed to relieve bleeding gums and mouth ulcers and has been found to be an effective astringent and diuretic.
Blackberry Leaf should not be used for an extended period (more than one week at a time), as its high astringency may cause constipation, diarrhea or inhibit menstrual bleeding.
