It produces an uplifting, refreshingly astringent scent.. This may assist in reducing anxiety and depression. As an ingredient in lotions and massage oils it can help reduce tension and inflammation.
Bergamot's anti-septic and anti-fungal properties can be helpful for acne, and problem skin conditions. Avoid in cases of liver problems. Not for use when pregnant or nursing. Possible skin irritant - dilute well. If not specified bergapten-free it may cause photosensitivity.
