Herb Uses and Medicinal Properties
Agrimony is not used as commonly today as it used to be. It was very popular traditional herbal medicine, however. This is a safe herb that can be used by most healthy people. The uses for it are quite varied. Some use it to make a nice cleansing drink for purifying the blood. It is thought to be quite useful as a tonic for getting over those winter colds, fevers, or even diarrhea.
It should be noted that Agrimony also possesses an astringent action. This means that it is a good option for herbal mouthwashes or gargle ingredients. It can also be applied externally in the form of a lotion to minor sores and ulcers. Agrimony has been recommended, to cure sores, blemishes, or pimples.
